StreamSync — Terms of Service
Last updated: July 26, 2026 · Applies to StreamSync Demo and StreamSync Pro (Windows, macOS, Linux)These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of StreamSync, a desktop application developed and published by Accoustium Studios ("Accoustium," "we," "us"). By downloading, installing, or using StreamSync, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the application.
What StreamSync is
StreamSync is a local-first desktop streaming companion: a chat bot, on-screen alert system, overlay builder, and no-code automation engine for Twitch, and, in the Pro edition, YouTube, Kick, Facebook Live, and TikTok. It runs on your own computer and connects directly to the platforms you authorize it to connect to, using your own accounts and credentials on those platforms.
License
Accoustium grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use StreamSync on devices you own or control, for your own streaming and content-creation purposes. The Demo edition is free to use. The Pro edition is unlocked with a one-time purchase and is licensed, not sold — you're paying for the right to use the software, not acquiring the underlying code or intellectual property. StreamSync is not sold on a subscription basis, and a valid Pro purchase does not expire on its own.
You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense, or redistribute StreamSync, in whole or in part, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this restriction.
Your accounts and third-party platforms
StreamSync connects to third-party platforms — currently Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Facebook, and TikTok — using authentication you explicitly grant. Your use of those platforms through StreamSync is still governed by each platform's own terms of service, community guidelines, and API policies, and you're responsible for complying with them. Accoustium is not responsible for actions those platforms take against your account (suspension, feature restriction, API access changes, or similar), including as a result of how you've configured StreamSync's automation features.
Where StreamSync connects to TikTok specifically, that connection is authorized through TikTok's own OAuth login flow. Because TikTok's login flow requires a real web redirect rather than one that stays entirely on your device, a small callback service Accoustium operates briefly relays the connection token back to StreamSync; see StreamSync's Privacy Policy for exactly what that involves and how long anything is retained.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use StreamSync to:
- Violate the terms of service, community guidelines, or API policies of any platform StreamSync connects to;
- Harass, defraud, spam, or deceive viewers, other users, or any platform;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data that isn't your own;
- Distribute malware or interfere with the operation of StreamSync, the platforms it connects to, or Accoustium's supporting infrastructure; or
- Use StreamSync in a manner that violates applicable law.
Your content and configuration
Bot commands, overlay designs, automation rules, quotes, points balances, and similar content you create inside StreamSync belong to you. Accoustium claims no ownership over content you configure or generate using the application. You're solely responsible for what your automations do and what your bot says or posts on your behalf.
No warranty
StreamSync is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that StreamSync will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every configuration of every platform it connects to, particularly as those platforms change their own APIs over time.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Accoustium Studios and Tim Pogue will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use StreamSync — including losses resulting from platform account actions (suspension, ban, or API access loss) taken as a result of your use of the application.
Termination
You may stop using StreamSync at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your ability to use features that depend on Accoustium-operated infrastructure (such as the TikTok connection relay) if we reasonably believe your use violates these Terms, without affecting the locally-installed application's other functionality.
Changes to StreamSync or these Terms
We may update StreamSync's features and these Terms as the application evolves. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use StreamSync after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Accoustium Studios operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
